Check-In Standards

What We Look For at Check-In

These standards apply at check-in and reconciliation. Units that do not meet them are adjusted accordingly.

ECMs

Part ID must be present, correct, and legible
Unit must be complete and free of rust, corrosion, water, and fire damage
Housing must be complete
Circuit board must be original and undamaged; chip must be present; no acid burn (Mitsubishi Gold Case units must have original board)
No counterfeit units (Tech 2000 GM units only)
Plugs must be intact; pins must not be bent; housing must not be dented (50% deduction)

Cruise Control

Part ID must be present, correct, and legible
Original OE Cruise Control only; no remanufactured or aftermarket units

Other Electronics

Part ID must be present, correct, and legible
Original OE Other Electronics only; no remanufactured or aftermarket units

Engine Control Modules

Part ID must be present, correct, and legible

Part ID must be present, correct, and legible
Original OE Throttle Bodies only; no remanufactured or aftermarket units

Speedometers

Part ID must be present, correct, and legible
Housing must be intact; free of fire or water damage; mounts must not be broken
Clear plastic lens must be complete with no missing pieces
Plastic lens must not be scratched or cracked (50% deduction)

Climate Control Modules

Part ID must be present, correct, and legible
Housing and tabs must be intact; free of water and fire damage
Lens must not be scratched or cracked (50% deduction)
All dials, buttons, and faceplate must be present and undamaged (50% deduction if missing or broken)

Radio/Infotainment Centers

Part ID must be present, correct, and legible
Free of water and fire damage; mounting housing and tabs must be intact
Faceplate must be intact; all buttons, knobs, and dials must be present and undamaged (50% deduction if broken or missing)
